Purpose of Organization:
The Alzheimer’s Aid Society is one of the oldest and largest Alzheimer groups in the United States, founded in March 1981. They have many innovative services as evidenced by their annual report.
The Alzheimer’s Aid Society fulfills its mission by:
- Educating and informing lay and professional persons and interested agencies and groups.
- Providing guidance and support for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease, their families and caregivers.
- Encouraging and supporting research into causes, improved diagnosis and prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease.
- Advocating for the medical, social, psychological and financial needs of those with the disease, their families and caregivers.
The Alzheimer’s Aid Society has a bookkeeping firm, and they submit an annual audit.
