Volunteers Are the Heart of the Alzheimer’s Aid Society
We are so grateful to the volunteers who give their time and dedication to the Alzheimer’s Aid Society. Everyone is a volunteer: Committee members, office volunteers, peer counselors, outreach volunteers and health-fair volunteers. Even the administration provides volunteer time for events and wherever they are needed. Many of our volunteers have been with the Alzheimer’s Aid Society for ten years or more, and new volunteers are welcomed with gratitude and open arms.
Our offices are located in Sacramento and Modesto. We currently have openings for volunteers who would be available one day per week for four
(4) hours. Our office volunteers answer phone calls as the first priority during their shift. Since our volunteers are the first contact many callers have when seeking help for themselves or a loved one, we provide training and support on how to assist callers. The volunteers also mail information packets, prepares mailings or takes care of other duties as assigned.
Our volunteers make a difference in an immeasurable way for those coping with Alzheimer’s disease. Do you have four hours a week to give? Consider becoming a volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Aid Society.
